Water tests are an essential part of running any building as it safeguards the public from contamination through standing water and ensures that the upper and lower thresholds of water temperature from the boiler are able to be accessed at the furthest points of your facility. Failure to complete these on a regular basis can result in a forfeit of a management arrangement/lease and potentially could result in criminal prosecution.

Sometimes the best way to save money on energy prices is to maximise your organisations efficiency when it comes to power. Check out this guide from the Carbon Trust which could give you some ideas on how to be more energy efficient here.

An extremely detailed energy efficiency report can be compiled by www.resourceefficientscotland.com/ this is a ‘Zero Waste Scotland’ project funded by the EU and Scottish Government to help all organisations become more energy efficient in order to meet government targets for a greener Scotland.

Community Assets have the community at the heart of the undertaking and, therefore, most have social purposes and are able to claim rate relief. Find a link here to see if you are eligible to claim rate relief for your Asset.

While most Community Asset Transfers are underpinned by a large voluntary workforce with a huge range of skills sometimes an issue or a repair cannot be completed by volunteers alone. East Ayrshire have a database of Trusted Traders who are vetted by Trading Standards and reviewed by local residents.
